As a Davis Coleman franchisee, you will have exclusive rights to trade and market our services within your designated area. In addition to a comprehensive training package and on-going support, our head office develops relationships with national accounts and refers any business to the franchisee for the relevant area.
You will receive work from a number of sources that fall into three main categories – central, inter-agent and local:
- Central – Instructions from our existing national clients.
- Inter-Agent – Instructions from other Davis Coleman and other enquiry agents nationwide.
- Local – Work from within your geographical area, from solicitors, insolvency practitioners and local businesses – clients that you obtain from your own marketing efforts.
What it takes
From former bank managers and forces personnel to police officers and engineers, a Davis Coleman franchisee can come from all backgrounds.
We take great care in selecting franchisees. It is not simply enough to apply and to have sufficient financial backing. You need first class communication skills, as well as self discipline, honesty, integrity and reliability.
During the selection phase you’ll gain first hand experience. We’ll take you to a Davis Coleman field office to let you experience our business first hand.
Costs
To become a Davis Coleman franchisee, the fee will vary according to area population. But as a guide, an area will cost from £5000 plus set up costs. This fee includes an extensive training programme, on-going training and assistance, manuals, licences and initial stationery.
In addition to the franchise fee, you will require working capital, a reliable motor vehicle and office equipment including a computer system, telephone, answering machine, facsimile machine and a mobile telephone.
